All incumbents enter race for city, school
Newcomer Scott Hopson joined incumbents Willene Blackburn, Dan Gregg and Tom Pyle in filing for the three position expiring on the Eudora City Council.
The USD 491 Board of Education adds Mark Salmans and former Board president Marion Johnson to the line-up. Incumbents Greg Neis, Kenny Massey, Joe Pyle and Mark Chrislip filed for the election as well.
Jo Dalquest, Deputy County Clerk
of Elections said Eudora would not have a primary this February. With its three open seats, the Council would need seven candidates to warrant a primary, and the Board, with four open seats, would need eight.
The general election will be April 1.
