Legislators proposing to cap property valuations for seniors

The proposed amendment would cap valuations at 2004 levels for single-family homes owned and occupied by Kansans 65 and older and valued at $250,000 or less. The homes of those reaching 65 years of age in future years would be capped at the year they reached that age.
