Journalism students qualify for state

Eudora High School journalism students competed at the regional journalism contest Feb. 24. Several students qualified for the upcoming state competition.

Mary Cox was first in yearbook copy writing and second in advertising. Kelsey Epperson received first in layout design and an honorable mention in yearbook copy writing.

Kent Swanson was third in newspaper sports and received honorable mention in yearbook sports writing and infographics.

Guy Montgomery took home first-place honors in sports photo. Danielle Carnagie received honorable mention in sports photo.

Sasha Lund and Brittne Carey received honorable mention in theme graphics.

Megan Ballock was second in layout design and received honorable mention in news writing.

Chad Pyeatt took second in news writing and Jorden Wise was second in newspaper design. He also received honorable mention in newspaper sports.

Kyle Reynolds received honorable mention in infographics and Kayla Humbert earned honorable mention in feature photo.

Amelia Bock took first-place honors in feature writing and Christina Pyle received honorable mention in the same category.
