Twenty residents and friends enjoyed the March and April combined birthday party Tuesday evening. Celebrating were Tillie Bichelmeyer, Tammy Lathrom and Clarice Morriss. Harold and Alma Sisk also celebrated their wedding anniversary.

Jane Wetzel of Westwood came Thursday and took her aunt Tillie Bichelmeyer to the doctor and then they went out to lunch in Lawrence.

Jan Ziegler and Phyllis Ashcroft visited Elva Jordan and Darlene Randel Saturday afternoon.

Ada Bender, a former Pinecrest resident now living in Topeka, called Betty Ryan Sunday evening

Bertie Morriss' son, Allen Morriss was taken to St. Luke's Hospital Saturday evening.

Alta Vorhies and Clarice Morriss went shopping Sunday afternoon in Lawrence and met Clarice's sister Phyllis Oshel for coffee.

Clarice Morriss and Alta Vorhies visited Bonnie McCall Saturday afternoon.

Melvin Morriss Jr. and Marilyn Morriss visited his mother, Clarice Morriss, Sunday evening.

I was blessed with my 12th great-great-grandchild Sunday. My son Raymond Steffen called me from Arizona to tell me. I talked to my great-granddaughter Heather Harner on Monday morning. She said Xander Cole was born at 5:48 a.m. Sunday. He weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 inches long. He has two sisters, Mackenzie, 9, and Pauline, 7. Heather is my oldest granddaughter. They all live in Mesa, Ariz.
