Gloria Bessenbacher ( in Shawnee) says...
“I have not seen much of a difference in the suburban areas. However, should money be available, there is always room for improvement.”
Norge Jerome ( in Shawnee) says...
“Every article I have read on the subject, plus my observations of these infrastructures, indicate that these conditions should be addressed as high priority issues by the Shawnee Council.”
Satinder Hundal ( in Shawnee) says...
“My opinion is that if we can get by patching up the bigger stuff ,there are other things that demand more attention. The area I generally travel in seems quite well condition-wise. I’ve seen much worse.”
Ray Erlichman ( in Shawnee) says...
“The city’s own physical survey indicates that over 38 percent of the streets are fair, poor or failed. Curbs and sidewalks are something else. Let’s use that additional money from the Deffenbaugh landfill for these repairs. Fix the infrastructure, it will be easier to attract eco development.”
Angela Jeppeson ( in Shawnee) says...
“Sidewalks in newer, more affluent areas are in good shape. Unfortunately, time, weather and neglect have deteriorated more mature areas to where sidewalk strolls can be hazardous. “
Haley Majernik ( in Shawnee) says...
“I have been disappointed with the short-term fixes and think it would be helpful to re-evaluate the allocation of funds.”
Michael Sanders ( in Shawnee) says...
“Shawnee is doing a great job of balancing fiscal realities with maintenance of infrastructure. However, to continue to defer street maintenance could result in costly repairs.”
