Jennie F. Wilson
Services for Jennie Fern Wilson, 93, Lawrence, were Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Mt. Sidney Cemetery, Linwood. She has been cremated.
Mrs. Wilson died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.
She was born Aug. 13, 1907, in Linwood, the daughter of Wesley E. and Jennie E. (Siscoe) Brock. She grew up in Linwood and graduated from public schools there and later from Lawrence Business College. She was a homemaker and spent the rest of her life in Lawrence.
She and her husband shared the operation of a petroleum products distribution business in Lawrence and their farm in Leavenworth County for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Adah Chapter No. 2 O.E.S.
She married Delbert Wilson Dec. 24, 1930. He died in 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Springer, Oskaloosa; and a son, Norman Wilson, Los Alamos, N.M.; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials in her name to the charity of the donor's choice, Alzheimer's support group, or the Masonic Temple Building fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence 66044.
