Tyler Hartpence, Eudora, a freshman in feed science management at Kansas State University, was one of 20 students who will be serving as a 2006 Wildcat Warm-up student counselor in June.
The program, aimed at student retention, provides new students entering K-State in fall 2006 a chance to make connections with current K-State students, faculty and staff prior to the start of school. Participate students also learn about student success strategies and K-State traditions.
The program is option and is offered in addition to K-State's orientation and enrollment program. It was created through seed monies provided by tuition enhancement funds allocated by the K-State Student Governing Association.
