Obituary: Wiley E. Stevens

1951-2006

A celebration of life for Wiley E. Stevens, 55, Flippin, Ark., was Friday, Dec. 15, at Living Word Church in Mountain Home, Ark. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 16, at the church with the Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Burial was at Hand Valley Cemetery in Flippin.

Mr. Stevens died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Hospice House in Mountain Home.

He was born March 16, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Wiley and Geraldine Sens Stevens. He lived in Osawatomie before moving to Flippin in 1991.

Mr. Stevens was in the construction business and worked for R.W. Lengenfelter. He also worked for Ranger Boats.

He was a member of Living Word Church in Mountain Home. He was involved in organizing the Marion County Motorcycle Toy Run.

He married Cora Lee Lack on Aug. 25, 1969, in Edgerton. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bob and Geraldine Ayers, Baldwin City; two daughters, Audrey Elaine Plumlee, Mountain Home, Ark., and Lana Walton, Monet, Mo.; four brothers, William Neustel and Bob Neustel, both of Kirbyville, Mo., Richard Stevens, Wellsville, and Douglas Stevens, Linwood; four sisters, Diana Wilkinson, Pomona, and Joann Pope, Julie Bloomer, and Lori Harget, all of Baldwin City; and five grandchildren.

His father, a son, Brian J. Stevens, and a grandmother, Florence Sens, preceded him in death.
